What qualifications does an individual need to be considered for this program?

Applicants must provide the following:

  • Proof of Hearing Loss (Audiogram)
  • Undergraduate Degree or One Year of College and 3 years of Human Services Experience
  • Letter of Application interest in the program (see below)
  • Have access to a computer and the internet
  • Three (3) letters of Reference

In your letter of application please include the following:

  • Why you are motivated to join this program
  • Leadership, service & mentoring experience
  • Describe your interpersonal skills
  • How and Where you will put your mentoring skills to work after this program
  • The amount of time you will be able to put toward this training program and, in the future, to peer mentoring
  • Your commitment to completing the program if you are accepted

When does the program start?

The next class will start June 17-19, 2007, on the Gallaudet University campus.
